Getting up before his wife on a Sunday morning, or any morning, was a rare occurrence for Harry Prentiss. So when that Sunday he managed it he hurried to get up without waking her, made two caramel non-fat cappuccinos, sliced up two bananas, put it all on a tray and carried it to the bedroom.

He hoped to surprise his wife and have her start the day in a good mood. He knew Rhaenys had a stressful week, just the other day her boss, the aspiring young politician Laquita Hoves, asked her if she should fire a member of her staff. Rhaenys fought her coworkers case and Laquita agreed to keep her on, and even awarded Rhae with a raise for her honesty. Still Harry knew his wife had at least one sleepless night over the whole ordeal.

Harry found his children waiting for him on the sidewalk in front of the grocery store. They seemed lost in conversation, or rather it was his daughter Vaela speaking enthusiastically and Aenar, the good brother he was was, patiently listening. It made Harry smile. His children were growing up so fast it seemed.  Vaela was already in school and Aenar would soon be a teenager. It was crazy how quickly time went by.

Sabina couldn’t be more excited when she woke up the next morning to Ed’s text. He was already on the bus and coming over. She and Domynika made some waffles together, neither of them was a great cook but together they actually managed to put together a decent meal. They had breakfast together and then Dom went to tend the garden.

“Mum said to at least water the plants.” She told a confused Sabina. “We don’t want them all dying out before mum and Andrew come back do we? They will never leave us alone then…” Sabina had to agree. She was also very thankful Domynika didn’t ask her for help, she was in no mood to deal with some dumb plants she was overjoyed. Ed was coming!

Dina stood on the balcony of her  beautiful home with a drink in hand. One could say she was enjoying the beautiful view it provided, view of the whole town, her town. But today Dina’s thoughts were elsewhere. She wasn’t seeing the streets, the park, the large glass dome next to the science facility. No. What she saw a beach lighted by a full moon. What she hard were the soft sounds the ocean made as the waves hit the soft sand. What she felt was the sand beneath her bare feet…

“Flowers, really Bran? That’s suppose to fix this?” Nan asked sharply. Her tone was cold and there wasn’t a trace of amusement in her light green eyes.

“It’s a start.” Bran said and smiled. He hoped his girlfriend would smile back. But she didn’t, of course she didn’t.
